Christopher G. Micetich is one of Canada's most accomplished biotechnology entrepreneurs, having spent nearly four decades founding, building, and leading innovative life sciences and technology companies. Throughout his career, he has successfully translated world-class science into globally recognized businesses while mentoring the next generation of entrepreneurs.

Christopher is the Founder, President and CEO of Fedora Pharmaceuticals Inc., a company advancing novel therapeutics to combat antimicrobial resistance (AMR), one of the world's most pressing healthcare challenges. Under his leadership, Fedora achieved a milestone in Canadian biotechnology by securing what was then the largest licensing agreement in Canadian biotech history for its β-lactamase inhibitor program, validating the company's scientific excellence and global commercial potential.

Prior to founding Fedora, Christopher founded Naeja Pharmaceuticals Inc., growing the company into one of North America's leading contract drug discovery organizations. Under his leadership, Naeja expanded to approximately 160 employees and became Canada's largest employer of PhD chemists, attracting scientific talent representing 19 nationalities and supporting drug discovery programs for more than 100 pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies worldwide.

Christopher's entrepreneurial journey began at SynPhar Laboratories, a pioneering Canadian–Japanese joint venture co-founded by his father, Dr. Ronald G. Micetich. Together, Ronald and Christopher later founded Naeja Pharmaceuticals, continuing a legacy of innovation that has contributed two globally marketed antibiotic medicines — tazobactam and nacubactam.

Beyond biotechnology, Christopher is the Founder and CEO of Brass Dome Ventures Ltd., Brass Fund One, Brass Fund Two, and Kwan Business Ltd., where he focuses on investing in and mentoring high-growth technology companies.

Widely recognized as one of Alberta's most respected business mentors, he has served on numerous corporate and not-for-profit boards, including BioAlberta, Explore Edmonton, and the Edmonton Economic Development Corporation, and founded Innovation Masterminds Alberta. His honours include induction into the BioAlberta BioIndustry Hall of Fame, the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Special Citation for Entrepreneurial Perseverance, the ASTech Outstanding Commercial Achievement Award, and the Canada 150 Award.

Dr. Post has over 30 years of experience in all stages of pharmaceutical and biotechnology company R&D, from early drug discovery through clinical development and FDA approval. Dr. Post is currently the Chief Scientific Officer of BioMarin Pharmaceuticals, a publicly traded biopharmaceuticals company with four marketed products and five currently in clinical development.

In addition, he sits on the Board of Directors of Altiris Therapeutics and Orphagen Pharmaceuticals (two private biotechnology companies) and Viralytics (a public biotechnology company listed on the Australian Stock Exchange). Prior to joining BioMarin, Dr. Post held various senior research positions at LEAD Therapeutics, Onyx Pharmaceuticals, and Parke-Davis Pharmaceuticals.

He received a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from the University of Michigan and a doctorate in biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin, after which he performed a postdoctoral fellowship in virology at the University of Chicago with Dr. Bernard Roizman.

Sarat Maharaj is a partner in the Corporate and Commercial group in Edmonton. Sarat's practice includes providing advice to clients on mergers, acquisitions and sale transactions, including reorganizations and amalgamations. He assists both public and private issuers in raising capital through private placements and with their respective disclosure and reporting requirements. Sarat also advises clients on various corporate and commercial issues such as corporate governance, securities, corporate finance and the organization of new business ventures.

Sarat previously served as the Lead of the Corporate and Commercial Working Group in Edmonton. Prior to joining Dentons in 2010, Sarat practised corporate/commercial law in Toronto with another leading Canadian law firm. Sarat has also obtained his Chartered Accountant designation while working in Edmonton with a leading international accounting firm.
