We disarm the enzymes that make antibiotics fail.
Bacteria make beta-lactamase enzymes that destroy beta-lactam antibiotics: penicillins, cephalosporins, and carbapenems. Those three classes are over 60% of every antibiotic prescribed. Fedora's inhibitors shut the enzymes down and put the drugs back to work.
Resistant bacteria produce beta-lactamases that neutralize front-line antibiotics.
Nacubactam blocks those enzymes through several mechanisms at once.
Paired with meropenem, it works even against carbapenem-resistant strains.
